Its been a long time baby

Wow I have not provided an update since the 11th! Oh well we started birthday week that week so I am not surprised. I still have not had a chance to site in my new scope.

Yep three kids all celebrating birthdays in the same week.

Started off the week with Andrew and having some friends over for some Mexican food and laughs.     IMG_8522

Then came Spencer. See what happens when you turn 18 and park your car at school....The rain helped out with the smearing effect.

And last but not least there was the princes birthday party. A fun time with friends at Build A Bear and of course we had friends over as well for dinner and cake. Thanks to our close friends for the easy bake oven....

Distance is no problem

NcSTARI have a new toy for my  toy. I cannot wait to take my rifle out to the range and blow through a few hundred rounds of ammo. The nice thing about this optic device is its range finder and illuminated cross hairs for those long range night shots. Too bad the rifle rangNcSTARe near the house only has a 100 yard max distance. I would like to test out the accuracy shooting at 500 yards as well. Hopefully this weekend a I can break free for some fun.

So much happening this weekend with Andrew's birthday, Allison has a party to attend as well and Spencer is busy preparing for the schools version of High School Musical.

Nothing like being able to shoot things to take the stress away. Maybe I could be so lucky to be next to that looser from before (see earlier post).

A day at the zoo

100_0026 For a final hoorah before I go back to work we took Allison to the zoo. Its been a very long time since we have been there and Alli was excited. We took the off route through West University which has some very nice houses. I was surprised at the price of the zoo but once we were in I realized the higher cost not only helps pay for the zoo but also keeps people from using the zoo as a baby sitter (that title has gone to Walmart now). The most fun was in the monkey section where we watched a baby Orangutan. He (or she) was playing with a basketball and throwing it at the glass window at the kids and would flip while laughing. A stop for lunch in the park was very memorable as well. The pizza was beyond bad and the nachos were no comparison to something you would get at a Texans game. Well we did not go to the zoo for their food.

Oh well back to work for me....
